REST came about as a simpler alternative to SOAP for building web services, used for integrating different systems. For example, Amazon has offered a REST API for years, while Google has just announced that they are killing [...]

So we’ve already heard some talks by people who might be considered gurus in our line of work. But we all have our own stories to tell as well. They might not fill up two hours and they might not have the same level of quality. That doesn’t mean we don’t want to hear those [...]

In 2009, we will work on increasing visibility for Duchess - in the Java community, in business circles, in the press, and in society in general. In parallel, we will help our members to become more visible with their skills, knowledge, and abilities.

You still can win a free conference pass for the eclipse forum at 20-24 april in Mainz, Germany.
The first one who sends us an email will receive the pass. There is only one condition….you will have to write a recap about the conference.

I’ve already mentioned it in my Devoxx ‘08 recap, but we decided it deserved a post of it’s own.
Duchess owns a SunSPOT (Sun Small Programmable Object Technology). Aaron Houston gave it to me at Devoxx.
