Here’s the long-awaited information. We had some problems arranging a location, so it took us a bit longer than we’d have liked.

Date: Saturday April 21
Time: 10.00 – 18.00
Location: iPROFS office, Wagenweg 208 Haarlem
Requirements: Bring your own laptop with an IDE installed, preferably with the Liferay IDE (for Eclipse) or the PortalPack (for NetBeans) already installed.

Program:
10.00 Introduction LifeRay
12.00 Lunch (please let us know if you have special requirements/wishes, we were thinking of sandwiches)
13.00 Determining the requirements
15.00 Building the site
18.00 Going home (if people want we can go out for dinner, but we didn’t arrange anything yet)

We’re working on the final preparations now, will most likely send out an email with the details tonight. (And we’ll post them here as well.)

Somethings I would like are:
- a good validation of new members to prevent spammers.
- a good validation of posters so the admin does not have to validate member psotings / comments
- a clear structure for who can do what for blogposts / forum entries / comments
- a calendar with all the events both per group and global.

As an administrator for a group I REALLY need the following (in order to be ably to run my group activities properly):
- contact information for the members in my group (maybe info that they don´t want to share publicly, but could share to an administrator in order to get info on new activities)
- a possibility to send email messages to all members in my group (or to a selective part of my group)
- a possibility to list sponsors for my group and group activities

As an Administrator I would like the following:
- a possibility to post messages on a board.
- a possibility to announce meetups including time, place and activity.
- a possibility to take RSVPS to meetups from members without them having to sign up with lots of information.

As a member I would like to:
- be a part of a group, or several groups.
- See pictures and contact info of fellow duchess-girls (twitter, localtion, workinfo)
- post questions to my country(group) , or to everyone.
- find background information on Duchess – what, why, who, when?

The plan for the day is as follows. We’ll start in the morning with a short LifeRay introduction. In the afternoon we’ll start on a backlog and hopefully we’ll also get working on putting it all together.

But feel free to discuss what should (or should not) be in that backlog in the comments here.
