Google Offers Travel and Conference Grants

After JAOO I subscribed to the Google events mailing list for Europe. Today I got an email with an interesting proposal. And I thought that some of you might be interested in it as well, so here it is.

As part of Google’s ongoing commitment to encouraging women to excel in computing and technology, we are pleased to announce two travel and conference grants for forthcoming events to encourage more female computer scientists to attend and participate in conferences

ECIR 2009 conference and travel grant, 6-9 April, Toulouse, France
We are offering 2 grants as follows:

* Free registration for the main conference. Accommodation not included.
* 300 euros for travel costs (given to the recipients at the event)

Eurosys09 conference and travel grant, 30 March to 3 April, Nuremberg, Germany
We are offering 2 grants as follows:

* Free registration for the conference (including the workshops on 31 March). Accommodation not included.
* 300 euros for travel costs (given to the recipients at the event)
